Well, I finally got my GF out for a 4 wheeling trip in the Jeep, and she had a good time. But she was wanting a cup holder for her Big Gulp, and at 5'5", she had a tough time climbing in.
So, cup holder....has anybody put one in their Jeep? I was thinking about something under the dash that would slide out when needed, but I'm open to most any ideas.
Steps are going to be more difficult...I don't want to lose ground clearance, so that implies some sort of folding or slide out step. Again, fishing for ideas here.

Have you got bucket seats? Console/cup holder between the seats? Can you temporarily use a step stool for her to get in and out until you figure out what you want to do about the steps?

Factory bucket seats. A console would be problematic, as I have the fuel tank switching valve on the floor between the seats.

My cup holder consists of a large tin can, painted black, with a bolt, washer and nut through it and the floor board. In the center between the seats.. works for me.

I purchased a 77 CJ7 in the fall and it was cup holder crazy. Two on the console, two in the rear built-in to the speaker enclosure - and two attached to the windshield frame. I think it is by Rugged Ridge. Do a check. I took those off and would give them to you if you were nearby.

I'm working on steps for my wife. Not there yet, so will look at your solutions.

I have a friend that built steps that are pivoted on the rocker guards. They slide down for use and back up when not in use. I'll see if I can get a pic.

I just did a quick search for Land Rover folding steps. There is a bunch of pictures out there to get ideas from. I didn't look for a dealer or prices.

I slapped this together real fast out of scrap wood I had in the garage a few years ago. It holds an Igloo Ice Cube, which I carry ice and bottled water in. It also provides a little storage on top and doubles as an armrest. I screwed a cheap cup holder from Autozone onto the front. The box is srcewed to the floor.

This is what I have for steps

I've go a (gimbaled) Bar Buoy cup holder but usually use the universal duct tape cup holder on the floor (the lower the drink the less jostled it gets).
I've used a milk crate for people who have trouble climbing in - I just pick it up and put in the back after they get in but if you tie a rope to it the passenger can reel it in themselves.

I looked at those....looks like they fold up against the side of the body but still hang down pretty far.

Yeah, they do hang down some regardless. I was just thinking about coming up with ideas based off of the designs. :)

My brother mounted the seats in the 3B so there is a piece of angle iron up there between the GM seats. I went over to the local farm and ranch store with a foam can holder in hand and found the proper sized plastic end cap that things would fit in. I need to get a tool out so the handle of my coffee mug will fit into them. Steps? It gives you a chance to hold her close as you help her in the Jeep. A few girl friends were shorter than your lady friend so I've assisted as needed.
