I just rebuilt a gokart i built from scratch back in the day. it had a 175 yamaha 2 stroke on it I swapped out for a 8hp tecumseh and torque converter. its much better for the tight trails i run on. Plus i put that engine on an old rockford tora

3 speeds forward and two reverse, pto for the tiller.

hits a solid root, jerks you to the next county.

This has been stealing all of my jeep working time for the last two weeks. Our first race is this sat. The car is a called a Modified, Operating weight with driver is 2500lbs. engine is just shy of 650hp. It is every bit as squirly as it looks.

This year is the first year in last 10 she doesn't want to start.
i did the usual fiddle the carb to get fuel, a splash down the carb to help. Warm the spark plug with a lighter, fiddle the air and the fuel flow...
Pulled the fuel bowl and cleaned it out, seal was shot. Two layers of 10 mil electric tape made a temp that sealed up better than I thought. I might have an o-ring somewhere that will work, else I'll use an old tire tube.
Looks like the mag doesn't want to give spark.
looking for instructions for this old Wisconsin motor. May be I can track down a carb kit, brass deal says L48AD with 1545 on an inner, got to get me some antique Google foo on.

I thought it looked familiar... I grew up going to Redwood Acres. Ron Hornaday, Rick Carelli, those guys came through... I had a few friends that ended up racing and I crewed for them... We went to Anderson a couple times... Fun stuff. The only cure for racing is poverty.

    Thanks for posting...

doing a little upgrading to the Xr4ti, 100% more displacement and cylinders, 100% less turbo.

Ford 4.6 modular from a 1993 Grand Marquis, 5-speed Trans from a 1999 mustang GT.

Shoehorn isnt the word for what a tight fit this is. We used a 48" shale bar to get it in there. R)

Nice harley hope youre going to restore it not chop it up. I kinda want a little x90. Iv been tinkering with my 1970 Yamaha DS6 250 2 stroke. I got it in the fall from my neighbor for free. Hes the original owner bought it for his high school graduation present. It only has 6k miles on it all original and very fast. Just a little scraped up from wipeing out a few times doing burnouts lol And I just built a sidecar for my honda spree Ill get a pic of that
