Your troubles may be much more pronounced than this, but maybe it'll help...

I noted that with my T90 fresh off a rebuild, that sometimes, 1st and reverse don't quite go in. That is, the shift lever won't budge it into gear without a lot of force, but if I let a tiny bit off the clutch to get things moving a bit, and it'll pop right in. Also, if I've been sitting with the clutch in for say 15~20 seconds, it'll grind gears a bit as the input shaft sometimes seems to be running with the pilot bushing even with the clutch in. A quick grab of 2nd gear and then into first gets around this trouble....

Not that this is how to fix it, but rather what troubles I have and what tricks seems to work with a tranny/clutch that I know is in good shape.

    HTH somewhat....

How's Yuma doing with the rain? Heavy stuff keeps missing Phx....

And here I thought I invented that quick 2nd gear "grab" to stop the input shaft! ;) Works wonders!!

    I think I will start pulling the floor pan off mine for a peek-a-boo, look-see or how-you-doin'. (hopefully I don't get a how-you-doin' back! ) :D

Not much rain here in Yuma. The heavy stuff seems to be emotying out in California and missing us...
