      my first f-head engine locked up, i took it to a machine shop to have it redone and found out it would be a little over $1200 to get it rebuilt. but luckily they had one freshly rebuilt that had been sitting there for 22 years for 700 dollars, i jewed him down to 600 :). though it did need to be put together, which i am doing right now. the head has been put on and the tappets are set. hopefully everything will be set just so perfectly that when i put it in my jeep and rewire it, itll crank right up!

      ive always heard that slow and steady wins the race, and so far it has proven to be true.. off road anyhow!

      Thanks. My grand-son came up with it (2 1/2). My wife says it fits as well. An old Fart driving an Old Poop. But hey, as the saying goes "If I wanted to drive fast I would not have bought a Jeep."
