I had an '85 that I chopped the top, caged, and ran on 42s. I had the stock 318 in it that thought it was a 383, factory NP435, Klune-V, and a Chevy NP205 that I twin-sticked and converted to 32-spline outputs. Dynatrac D60 front and a Dodge HD D60 rear that I bored the spindles to fit 35-spline shafts. All on 42s mounted on Humvee beadlocks.

Ha! Nah, this one came with the stock shafts in the tub...and I won't be using these either. Want another?

This one literally found me. Guy totally e-mailed me out of the blue. If I ever get time to start in on it it'll be something like the 11th or 12th junk Jeep I'll have brought back from the dead. That's one of the big reasons the owner wanted me to have it.

Me too. I sold it to a guy, who sold it to a guy, who sold it to a guy who parted and crushed it. It's gone. :(

I think owner 2 or 3 or 4 was on Ramchargercentral with it a few years back.

    I had a lifted 87 with 35's and a .040 over 318, and it was a tank fo sho :D

Jostle this thread back from the dead.

I'm gonna start pecking away at the buildup on this thing. First order of business is stripping it back down to the frame. Decided I didn't want to use most of what the previous owner put on it. I'll be doing different axles and (at least) a 300hp V-8 with a manual tranny, so check the classifieds here at ECJ5.com later today. I'll put the stuff I'm taking off it for sale here at buddy-deal prices for about a week before I offer it up on craigslist for the masses...at not so buddy deal prices. Will post link to sale(s) thread here as I post 'em.
