When I take a sharp left turn at any speed, I get this noise coming from what sounds like the right rear. It could also be doing it when I take sharp right too, but I haven't noticed. The lugs are all tight and the rear end isn't locked. Front hubs are unlocked and I'm not in 4WD. Running in high range. I'm stumped on what it could be. Only thing I can think of are the rear axle bearings?

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

    most likely
the weight is transferred to the right side on left turns.
could be loose/worn brake shoes and/or hardware as well.
if hub is loose/broken, wheel will wobble and drum could hit backing plate.

The hub is good and tight. But I never thought of the brakes. The shoes are rather old...
