Ok, with nicer weather here I've been thinking about Jeep stuff again. :)

I have an almost-new TigerTop on the flatty and I also have a CJ-5 Bikini Top that I had modified to fit the CJ2. The bikini top never did fit the way I'd like it to, but i find myself using it more than the full top.

The issue I have is that the side windows in the TigerTop unsnap and roll backward to leave some really fugly vertical rolls at the back corners of the Jeep. I like the safari-top look and functionality, since I need more of a sunshade than a full top. (Jeep only gets driven on nice days.)

I'm thinking about having the TigerTop modified so the side windows come completely off, and adding a nylon web strap at each back corner to hold the top bows down to keep the top taut. I'd probably also have the rear window put on a zipper so I could remove that as well.

    Idears guys?

think your idea would work....out here a upholstery shop would do it, thinking it'd cost a couple hundred to have done however

I do the same thing Steve. I tuck the corners under the top. Seems to
    work OK w/ out mods.

I'm with you John, but unfortunately my side windows unzip along the top and roll back toward the corners of the Jeep. If I roll them up toward the top it leaves a 6" roll of material sticking out the back, and there is no way top fasten the roll in the up position.

I have a couple of old-school upholstery shops in town, I think I'll stop by one day and see what they can do for me.
