F-134 exhaust system upgrade

I have done a search on the site and find a lot of exhaust information related to some of the V6's in later jeeps, but not a bunch specific to the F 134.
Initially I planned to just take it in to the local muffler shop and tell them to put a nice exhaust system on it to maximize performance and give it a quiet but yet kinda cool sound. I found out that they shut their doors. So now...

I am planning to upgrade my exhaust system, by gently grinding out the manifold to smooth it a bit, and then going to 2" mandrel bent pipe and weld the exhaust myself. Any suggestions on a muffler for a quiet yet cool sound on the F-134?

I am not a 20 year old kid anymore, but I don't mind a little bit of throaty sound.

Why not? My Jeep is my DD, but also a hobby. I like to make it like I want, and tinker with it.

You may find the performance will actually drop off with a 2" pipe.

Sorry I don't understand why it's funny to try and get the most out of your stock engine.

:iagree: had 2 inch put on mine and didnt like it at all, didnt like the sound, or the peformance. chopped up what i could use out of the new exaust and put it on my chevy. then went with the stock setup. and for what its worth, 50 feet away you can hear a conversation between two people over the jeep, now thats quite:rofl:
