does anybody have any part numbers for the valve cover grommets..
I have looked at the H.E.L.P section and cant seem to match anything up..
dont want to reinvent the wheel if I dont have to..

Oil filler cap would be nice as well.

I looked at the local parts places with no luck. I could really use new ones myself.

In the past, the Grommet was based on what you were trying to put in the hole. Example - PCV had a size and I believe I got grommets based on the PCV I was putting in it. Since going to AL Valve covers, I just put custom ones in by drilling the hole the size it needed.

Warloch, where'd you get the "custom" grommets?

Where'd you get the AL valve covers?

X2 I used a Ford PCV valve and matched it to a grommet. On the breather side I got rid of the old rubber tube and went w/ a chrome breather. As far as the oil fill goes I'd look around the junkyards. A lot of engines in that era used the same type.:v6:

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

I had to weld a large washer with the correct inside opening diameter to make a universal breather fit onto my valve cover.

By custom I really meant I picked up what the FLAPS had that fit what I was putting on and made the holes the right size (with some mix and match). Trial and error made it happen.

And yes, the AL covers are Kenne Bell - Patrick wants them (along with several other folks).

I agree with looking in junkyards for the fill cap. I doubt you could go to the FLAPS and find one but try a 1975 Buick Apollo. They had a 231 but I am pretty sure the cap is the same.
