I’m trying to get things lined up to replace the floor in my ’61 CJ6.
Krage has a floor panel for a CJ5.

    A few questions.
    1. Has anyone every used one of these before?
    2. If so, how does it fit?
    3. Is the floor panel of a CJ6 the same as one for a CJ5?
The floor and hat channels need to be replaced. The guy at Krage said this one comes with the hat channels. That’s why I’m thinking about getting it. The less welding I have to do the better.

    Thanks,

    Frank

I have used that panel. It has hat channels on it. You may need to reweld them (and any other place that needs it) or at least clean up whats there. Some of the ones I've seen have wood in the hat channels, lose it. Measure every thing! Mine was a little too narrow overall, sucked the rocker panels in when I clamped them to the floor for welding. Save your trans cover panels if you can. They have the holes for steering column and brake already. Top panel on the repo does not line up wth the exisitng holes in the firewall. Also, the angle is different. Sand off all the cheap primer that's on it. A dull razor blade will peel it right off, there's no adhesion there, some places aren't even sanded. It does save on fabricating, but for me the quality does not justify $400+. Tub is not mounted yet so I'm not sure how well the hat channels are going be in the right spot. That, and the shipper will usually find a way to bend all the corners before it gets to you. YMMV, of course.

There's also Jeep Panels Plus for Jeep sheet metal. Made in the USA.

:iagree: I'd price out their panels and also Classic Enterprises. You'll probably come in near the same money(?) and besides, it's more full to put a puzzle together anyway!
