I am having no luck finding high back seats for my early Cj5s I believe it was bestop that I called yesterday, but they told me there is nothing for the early
CJs, currently I am running a seat from a Ford Bronco that has a deaph of 18 inches. Most seats, currently available are 21 to 23 inches deep. I am going to look at a couple of Toyota seats tomorrow, but there must be some seat that will work. I am looking for a high back seat that will accept a four point seat belt. Does anybody know of a company with a website that sells seats un related to jeeps, because the Jeep sites only go back to 1976. There must be something out there that can be modified to fit the older jeeps

the bestops fit with a couple of new holes in the frames (I know, as I have the Aqua high backs).

years ago (in the late 60's/early 70's) 1967-69 camero/firebird buckets were uesd (dad's mb has them).

I will have a set of high back seats for sale here shortly after I install my new ones. They are gray in color and the brand is Think Jeep. They have been in my Jeep for 12 years but look really, really good. I am moving to a suspension seat.

I can take some pictures if you are interested in them.

Whoops, I didn't notice the 4 point part until I just re read it. Mine don't have that option.

I can mount the seatbelts to the role bar with a cross member going across to the other side. the hight is my concern. I am 6 feet tall, and I want seats high enough to avoid whiplash, should I be hit from behind. Also the depth of the seat needs to be 20 inches or less 18 inches would be ideal. I have somebody to recover the seats if necessary, but I am definitely interested. Maybe you could shoot me a photo thanks

I will call bestop back and find out how deap the seats are. If they have a flat bottom im sure I could manufacture the mounting brackets, but I will wait to see if the used seats can be shipped without much difficulty. And if they don't need recovering this would be a big plus

    Flat bottom seats?

    Fieros had flat bottom seats.

Adam, what is Fieros, is it a company with a website. that name does not ring a bell. the jeep seats have a flat bottom frame as well as the Bronco seat. Therefore, I was able to just drilled new holes in order to make it fit. The problem is, most modern seats are much deeper than the old jeep seats
which are restricted by the wheel well. So the front is to close to the steering wheel, and being 6 feet tall doesn't help, thanks.

I used seats out of a 73 Pinto. They work great because they aren't very deep but do have springs in them and a flat bottom. Couldn't use the adjuster tracks though, made them too high. I'm having them recovered now they work so well. Of course good luck finding a Pinto anymore to pull them out of. Here's a shot.

Gotta love living in the present. Remember when mixed marriages were frowned upon? R)

I just took front seats out of a 93 dodge caravan,
not bolted in yet but they seem to fit perfectly
Tried the center bench seat but its too wide for the back of a 59 CJ
Getting a fiberglass tub next week
I dont want to drill more holes then I have to

I don't know if these will fit, but would like to know.
Also, Seats from Saturns might work.

I got a PM from high 5, and I was unsure how to respond. I eventually clicked on his avatar name, and it gave me a window in order to reply. if it did not go through. Please let me know and I will post the information here on the forum. I believe the seats you have would work perfectly, would love to see a photograph

Any high backseats that will fit i am interested in. The only problem is in Tucson, Arizona. The Desert Sun will have destroyed any seats found in a junkyard or sitting in somebody's backyard
