is there anyone that nows of a better diagram for rebuilding the 2g? I am having trouble remembering where the heck some of this stuff goes? I tore it down the other night, and now i am stuck on a few things? So, does anyone know of a better diagram/pics for the 2g rebuild process other tha the crappy diagram that came with the kit? TIA

In the future use a digital camera and take lots of pics as your taking stuff apart. Lay everything out on a clean bench or table in the exact order and orientation you took it off. Of course you'll still want to have a manual but this way works well until you are comfortable with whatever your working on. After that you can just throw everything in a box or bag and it won't matter cause you've done it so many times.R) R) Just some food for thought.

Well of course, that's the way it always goes with Murphy's Law. Camera doesn't work and when you go to put it back together you get the 'Oh Crap' feeling.R) Good luck with getting done.:)

ok, here i smy question, since the rebuild kit did not come with a float, i am assuming i can just use the new needle, and jet thingy with the old float assy, and i wont have to readjust anything correct?? Also in the following pics, do i have the spring and pump assy correct? and if i do, how does the big spring go in the hole, just drop it in or is it supposed to "click" in place. then where does the pump go? i know there is supposed to be a cotter pin on the brass end of the pump, but were does that end of the pump go after that? if im not making any sense please accept my apology and i will try to do better:oops: . The carb is all cleaned up and ready to go, i just want to button this up  :

Yeah you'll have stuff left over. The kits are somewhat universal in that they can be used for a few different applications. And yes you can reuse your float if you don't have another.

looks like the float is upside down ?
the round groove in the float looks like it should be facing the post
is the float hanging out over the edge of the top ?

I don't know if it can be ?????
the tab that the needle seat rides on/pushes against will pretty much dictate the direction

the needle and everything rides real smooth, and the float moves up and down just fine, i just dont know now.....i guess i can turn it around and see, but looking at it know i wonder if the float will work right with it the other way?????

Turn it around, the indent is there for a reason and the way it it in the npic makes no sense. that indent should let the float work around the silver colored post thingy. (yeah I know how that sounded but turn it the other way.)
