I bought a new metal gas tank with a 6 hole sending unit pattern. I have a brand new lock ring sending unit. Is there a conversion flange or ring to change the 6 hole tank to lock ring tank to properly mount the sending unit I have ?? Thank you

The only way I have seen it done, is to cut it out of the old tank and weld it in the new. That is if you have the old tank.

If I were you and you had a 6 hole opening, I'd put a bolt in floatless sender in there and never think about it again.

Does the floatless sender resistances match that of the six hole sender for the original gauge or do you add the new sender/gauge kit

I just went through something similar. I couldn't find a lock ring repop metal tank, all I found were the bolt type. I ended up getting a (USA made) plastic tank with the lock ring. I wanted to keep my original lock ring style sending unit because it has a return line on it.

ah crap - totally forget that i haven't found one that includes the fuel nipples along with the unit, so you'd have to drill a new hole just for the sender.

holley even has a laser one, but you'd still need a hole to mount it.

OP just needs to buy a different sending unit.
