I had a heck of a time getting the darned thing onto the 4 post lift~ I had it on furniture dollies, then used a comealong to pull it, omg, but got it on there! Thank you Gary for your help!!

I do know it needs a passenger side front floor pan, maybe just partial. But the rest looks pretty good, but I'll know more after having it blasted~ that finds everything!

I love these old speedometers, but I'll probably have something else~ to soon to tell.

Apart from just nastiness, the underneath looks pretty good, of course just about everything will be tossed, just don't know what yet.

I got a hold of the fella which has those 2013 Camaro SS seats, I'll meet up with him; get measurements, may even coax him to let me take them, leave a deposit or something. I just have a nice conversation with him, very nice~ a Hot shot driver.

    I'm worn~ I need a HOT bath! ;)

Oh, forgot to mention, I was able to turn the fan blade to turn the crankshaft, and it does~ I hooked my battery up to the starter to see if it would click, but nothing happened:(

gabberflasted, meaning bad? I thought it wasn't too bad. I would be removing the spare tire depression thing and putting flat sheetmetal in its place to mount a specific gas tank~ not there yet;)

Dang kids. Flabbergasted as in surprised, amazed. The car body looks to be pretty sound. You have a good foundation for your new project.

You haven't shown anything too scary yet. Looks pretty solid for what it is. Good score.

So, back in high school, a couple guys in my neighborhood that were 2 years ahead of me, both had Dodges. One had a Duster and the other had a Demon. Plymouth...Dodge....same thing kinda. Both 340 4speed cars. One blue and one green. The guy with the blue one, the Duster, destroyed it in a run in with a tree. No one was injured thankfully. Anyway, he bought what I think was a '65 (??? ) Dart for like 600 bucks or something. He put that 340/4 speed in that Dart that weighed like nothing compared to the Duster, added a 2 4 bbl set up to it. That car was just nasty. Ugly old dart with its share of what we now call "patina." Not that I think they are ugly cars but it was badly in need of paint, at least, especially considering how nice his Duster was. Not sure what ever happened to that car after he graduated but I think it did not hold up well to the powertrain.

I was in the back of that Dart one Friday night as we cruised "the loop." As I raised my beer bottle to take a slug, he hit the gas (pretty sure he was watching in the mirror for the opportunity). I almost ate the bottle. Yea, the car was that rough that he didn't care about the spilled beer. Good times. Good times.

Hi gang;) didn't get a much done as I would've liked, but I removed the windshield(it was cracked), removed the front n rear seats, re-washed the floor board, pressure washed underneath. Pressure washed my trailer, so all is good. Oh, I did try cranking the engine, got spark, put a bit of gas down the carb, just wanted to hear a v-room and that would have been enough, but nooooo. The cranking did result in a irritating transmission leak/dribble:(
so, that's my report for today;) I've got tools scattered all over the place! re-organize tomorrow;)

Just thought this was a pretty picture;)

Oh, in the ash tray were some various receipts dated 2000, one was for a prescription, some food, and one with a name and phone number. I texted the number and seeing if I'll get a response. I just wrote that I bought the car, etc. meh, nothing will probably happen.

A 23 year old phone number, probably a landline.

They'll probably try to buy it back from you.

I had a car featured as Car of The Month in Hemmings Motor news. ('34 Ford Pickup.) Twenty years later, Hemmings contacted me, said the daughter of the family wanted to know if I'd sell it back!

    (Nope, no way.)

I really want red interior~ I will be looking at these seats soon, not sure if they'll work, especially the rear seat. But what color can the exterior be other than: white, gray/silver, black?

In the order of getting a good looking paint job from easiest to hardest: white, gray/silver, red and then black being the hardest. I see
alot of new cars in what looks like a clearcoat over primer gray. Looks ok depending on the car.

Certainly looks like a very solid start for a project. Will be cool to see your progress.

My husband doesn't want me to finish too quickly~ he wants me to stretch it out for at least a couple years. most that know me I work kind of quickly and can see an end product~ so progress may be a little slower than my other projects;)

On the engine there was an industrial version used on self propelled haybines and combines. The industrial motor was typically a 225 with a forged crank but low compression heads. They were using them into the 70's.

I had a '64 Dart wagon for a little while. Pulled the valve cover off and there was almost no room for the rockers.
It was full of sludge...put the valve cover back on. Can't touch this! :D
