Didn’t get much Jeep work done this week but had a couple hours today.
Set timing on 231 @15*. Installed PS pump and bled. Got most of the floor boards bolted in.

    Rear armor corners riveted on.

As long as I don’t tear it up by then!!!

Wait until you see the front fenders! I’m excited to get those on later today. Put a coat of rustoleum hammered on the floorboards this morning. Going for a long bike now, then back to work on the Jeep this afternoon.

I finally got the last of the parts I needed off the Land Rover Donor car. I hauled it off today to the recyclers.
. On the way back I checked my PO Box, and the Heim Joints for the Land Rover LT230 T/C Mated to the Ford NP435 showed up.
This is the last thing I had to do on the Trans T/C conversion.
So next week the Mustang 4 speed top loader comes out and this beast gets installed. Anyone out there need a Ford close ratio 4 speed mated to a Dana 18 with a hydraulic parking brake.

I'm a "set it and forget it" sort of guy.

When it makes funny noises I'll break out the gauges.

Yeah , I used to be. Now, I've learned 'Cuz I sometimes can't keep my heavy right foot out of things, that I'm better off this way. I don't want to do HG's as a regular maintenance job. These things guard a bit against that.

There's no Miles or Hours on that Engine, from the looks of it? Curious of the Year & if you think that has the OEM decal on It ?

Oh I’m sure I’ll find a spot for it!!
Its a rebuild from a “restoration” guy. I think it’s a later version-like 70-71. It’s set with flex plate for auto - Commando type.

I could’ve been productive on a number of things today, but decided to go toodling around instead. Found a nice spot and a big tree to park next to.

Backed off the timing a little (may have been a mistake), Put on the tailgate chains, Half doors, Wipers (were rolling around the floor boards today), tightened up the mirrors, battery cables tied down to inside fender, moved around the vacuum intakes (now PCV goes to carb base), rearranged junk inside jeep, swapped the 33MT for 31AT, another thing or two I don't remember...
