Family CJ6 Project

After years of having a Novak hydraulic clutch kit in the toolbox, I finally yanked the transmission and installed it. The installation was easy enough but I did need to cut a new bracket for the slave cylinder. I called Novak and they assured me it would fit but no dice. No big deal but they seemed really dismissive about it. Oh well, it's on. The clutch is smooth as silk now. It's been on for a few weeks, some on farm wheeling and road trips to work. (Working about 1.5 hrs away currently.) I did make a longer push rod for the slave cylinder and a shield to keep the exhaust heat from the slave cylinder as well. Overall, very happy with the upgrade. Next up will be addressing the tired and leaning BDS springs. I may go to different springs with bigger bushings.
My Novak mount did not fit correctly either. I got it secondhand, new, so I couldn’t really complain.

I run YJ springs. I have no complaints.
