Where to Find Parts

I am having trouble locating a battery hold down frame that goes on top of the battery. The ones I see at Oreilly and AZ are not long enough for the standard battery. Any thoughts?

Passing along some parts sources.

A friend of my fathers emailed this to us, not sure how many of you get Hemmings Motor News. This is from the Sept 09 issue. Some of these vendors I have herd of before and some I haven't.

Re: Passing along some parts sources.

That's some good stuff! A lot of the normal vendors, but a few I never heard of. Thanks!

Walcks

I've been using Walcks for years and just wanted to give Carl some props --

I called him up yesterday around 11AM, ordered some parts for the engine rebuild, and asked him to "get them out today", if possible.

He told me they'd do their best.

I just received the parts UPS-- I will now be able to get the F-heads' bottom end assembled tomorrow, on my day off-

Thanks again to Walcks for superior 'one-day' service!!! :D

The best place For part is Mile High Jeep Rebuilders in denver. When I restored my 71 cj-5 they had every part in stock, Down to the heater control panel.

Not sure if it was listed yet but when I lived in denver they went above and beyond for me.

Florida Four Wheel Drive and Truck (941)-756-7844. His name is Bruce and he's a one man show. He's there in the afternoon. His place is a barn full of used and NOS Jeep parts of all years/types. Bruce has spent 30 plus years buying out Jeep dealerships and parts. He is an incredible source of information and he loves to share it with you. Call him up. I talked with him today and he said that he just got in some NOS crankshafts (Willys).

H-Core 4X4 is a company on the NC-TN line just outside of Boone, NC. He does some custom fab work and has several jeeps around the shop. The guy who runs it is named Aaron. Phone number is 828-268-0009.

sgish78@yahoo.com found this guy to be extremely helpful. Has horded 18 years worth of jeepster parts. He doesn't have time to list them all on various sites but it might be worth an email to him.
