Roll Bar Location

I am about ready to mount my roll bar to a fiberglass body, does anyone have the exact mounting location. I would hate to locate it wrong and have a new top not fit right.

hmmm., without pics I'd say it's difficult to advise as there's lots of variables to types of rollbar construction. That being said the rear should be snug into the corners (may need to use a ratchet strap to squeeze them together until placed into tub), and the front legs should land behind the front seats

On a steel body CJ-5, the roll bar slides all the way forward against the bow pockets in the top rail of the body. On a glass body, I think you'll have to get a measurement from somebody of how far back from the front edge of the wheelhouse.

I measure 6 1/4" from the front edge of the roll bar base to the front edge of the wheel wells on my 71. Like Tim says that is up against the factory bow pocket.

Mine is a couple of inches back from that bow pocket
