Jeepster VIN Numbers

I was wondering you gentleman could help me figure out the vin number and what it all means.

Does anyone know what the engine production code, KNH means. There is a
So 3 9 L above it between the spark plugs on right side.

No expert on the Jeepsters, but typically the last digits of a Jeep VIN are the sequential serial number part.

Suggest you bring this to the early CJ-5 forum (since this is more about the 225s than the Jeepsters) and ask in a new thread with a descriptive title.
 
8705H1414465 it's the 4 cylinder pickup
8705F1751424 dauntless 6 powered wagon. This ones got spring perches on the top and bottom of the axels, coils, leafs and dual shocks. The body is steel with fiberglass over it and steel plate underneath.
 
I'm not a Jeepster guy, but it looks like all we have is this thread with each member entering their VIN and DOM (date of manufacture).

You could page through and find numbers near yours, or you or someone could put the whole thread into a spread sheet and get a better idea of the overall trend.
 
thanks for that. I don't have either of those, cause the tag is wrong. I only have the frame number, 11614 and the engine number, 1381623. so I'll just keep looking
 
This is a Serial number list by production month but I did not have a complete list, so just the beginning of Jeepster Comando production. Added a file with collected data on 8701, 8702, and 8705.

I don't spend much time on this page, so if there is an option of a 'private message' I didn't find it.
Dave74, Those figures on production serial numbers by month most likely originated on the CJ3B page.
I know that because I submitted them there.

I'm glad to see they are getting put to good use.

I assume you work at SJT or Goodfellow.

I spend about 5 weeks there each year.

I’m looking for info on following VIN but I cant seem to download the VIN serial number files from another thread that is closed. I believe it to be a Jeepster. 8705 H17 28150

05 - open body
H - pickup (Jeepster)
1 - left hand drive
7 - V6-225 with Emission
28150 - sequential serial number
