No reserve CJ-6 V6 on BAT

This CJ6 is certainly an odd vehicle. The body is not the same as what we’re used to. I can understand the “extension” seams on the body sides possibly filled, but this one has no “Jeep” embossing at the cowl side, and the triangular part where the windshield lower hinge mounts is much smaller than the CJ’s we know. I’m guessing this made in India or South America (Brazil ?). Strange steering column, full bench seat, tranfer case shifters are short, just a lot of strange features., but the serial tag on the firewall (July 1965?) looks correct. It still looks like a solid CJ6.

I would love to have a comfortable bench seat in my 47, but never found anything that would fit.

The owner was told it was a Kia? Probably not. Enough confusing things to maybe keep the price down...

Based on the photos, the sides were completely skinned with a single sheet of steel. Note the radius of the top edges of the sides, and the sectioning of the supports in the foot area of the cowl.
(not to mention the daylight where you can see the ground under the gas pedal.)

I just couldn’t stop myself from commenting on BaT regarding the actual year of this one. July 1965 build date, so more than likely it would have been titled as a ‘66. I might have even figured how it got “Kias” on the title. Bids are starting to pick up in the last hour.
