I apologize for what I'm sure is a repeat question, but after an hour of searching the forumI couldn't find the answers I'm looking for.
What, if any, parts from a 1976 231 odd-fire are desirable to swap into a 1972 225?
I am about to start a reassembly on my Dauntless and I have found a 1976 231 in the local scrap yard. I have found posts that say the heads, rods, manifolds interchange. I have also found threads that say the 231 heads, while better, will have coolant holes that misalign with the block holes. I'd like to take advantage of the fact the 225 is all apart right now and utilize any upgrade parts from the 231 (mostly the rods and heads if they'll fit). If it's easier to answer; What stuff won't cross over?
I'm sure others have walked this path before me, so hoping to learn from their experiences.
Any forum links to answer these questions would be very helpful, too.
