Parking Brake Warning Light

Well, after leaving my parking brake on multiple times, I decided to add a warning light. I found a reproduction light for a '55-'57 Chevy and wired it through a flasher (like apparently those were), so the light blinks when the brake is applied and the key is on. So far, it has been pretty handy.

I like it. I’ve been thinking about wiring up a parking brake light. Plowing I’m in and out of the vehicle a reasonable amount and usually set the brake since I generally leave it running. On multiple occasions I’ve left the brake on and not realized it right away since I’m always in low range which overpowers the brake even though I keep it adjusted and it will hold on a hill. Some people may call it a dummy light, I may resemble that at times.
Tim.

Do you have pictures of your switch?

Sure do. It’s just the stock switch on the parking brake pedal assembly. The assembly is from a Jeep Wrangler YJ. I believe the replacement for the switch is a Standard DS-890.

Thanks. E brake is on my future projects list.

I'm one of those that will drive off with the ebrake still set. My 3B version doesn't flash, but it's very noticeable. The turn signal arrows are 60 Rambler items. Geeezzzzzee, I made that 51 years ago----
