My little jeep trailer had a set of 6.50x16 tires on it that were very old and dry rotted. I had a new set of 215/85R16's put on it.
Date code on the old tires was 450 I think. 45th week of 80 or 90, not sure which.
Been working on the tailgate a little and put some tie downs inside the bed. Next project on it will be a landing leg of some sort.
It's actually a dump bed

I worked on the landing leg tday. It's basically made out of 3" channel. I wanted it to be able to tuck up snug against the tongue.

and half way in between. Here you can see the solid link that makes it stationary when extended. It also tucks up tight inside the leg when folded.

Some of the bolts will get swapped out for pins with hairpin keepers to make it easier.
Tomorrow I need to finish grinding, cleanup and paint.
And also clean up this mess. I am obviously the worst fabricator in the world because it takes so much stuff for 1 little job. All this and the pic doesn't include the welder and drill press.

It’s so nice that you have a shop and the tools. Love the trailer

I like that.

I have a very similar trailer with a hinged hard-top. Keeps my tools safe and dry, and leaves my truck bed free.
