Glove Box Removal

I should probably call this glove box installation. My vent cable was stuck, so in order to get to the attachment, I damaged a vent hose. I had to take off the glove box to get the rest of the vent hose off and I broke the glove box. The heater doesn’t allow enough clearance (for my skills) to remove the glove box cleanly. So now I have yo replace some of the paper products (vent hose and glove box.

Any tips for installing a glove box in a 69 JC?

You can buy a plastic replacement glove box liner that, if I recall correctly, slides in through the open glove box door rather than needing to be wrestled in from the backside of the dash.

I ordered one from Partsdude. Sam said it still fits in from the back but can be installed without removing the heater. He said it takes some effort.
