I can only wonder why have had zero interest in this Jeep to date.
This Jeep was built using the absolute best original and factory optional parts that were available on any CJ during the era of Willys Motors 1953-1962.
The only exception is that I upgraded this further using the Kaiser era (10” Wagner) self adjusting brakes.
Including original Wagner wheel cylinders and riveted asbestos brake shoes.
As always EVERY option, upgrade or replacement part is 100% OEM NOS.
Sold only by JEEP and or the OEM manufacturer.
Less than 3000 miles since the rebuild.
Plus I have lots of extra NOS spare parts to fit it.
It's out of reach for most people on these Do-it-yourself forums. The people that need to see this are the collectors. Those who don't need to look anywhere because they have a good mechanic on call to do the work.
I would love to have it but I don't have the cash. It would bump the cj5 out of the shed which Is fine and be enjoyed but it just isn't in the cards.
With Bring-a-trailer, you might be required to list it with “no reserve” for them to accept it. There can be the risk of selling way below your expectations. If they will accept it with a reserve, you have to set the minimum price for it to sell.
If you go this route, watch/follow a half dozen auctions through to the end. This will give you a better idea of what to expect as far as seller participation. Buyers are usually not “Jeep” people, but rather collectors or hobbyists with money to spend.
