If you are doing a resto vrs trail then read this. https://earlycj5.com/index.php?threads/142426/ This would be helpful if you're doing a resto. Not so much a trail rig. I would NOT use SMS fabrics again. I think I had my build nailed though on the resto. Had seven years to plan it while I looked for the jeep donar. '74 too. So when I got the jeep the planning was all done. Research on vendors done. Just had to muscle through it all.

What are your experience with SMS fabrics?

We are doing more of resto than a trail rig - goal is a daily driver some off road. Wont be a true restoration - original tub is gone and have a fiberglass. Want it to look essentially stock - or like we think it should look.
