Parts Supplier

OzFin

Vintage Jeep Guy
Has anyone used a supplier called "Parts Supply Online" and if you did how was the experience?

I see that they have a decal kit for my J/C 101 that allegedly comes from the Jeepsterman, which are Mark & John Vilbert out of Festus ,Mo.
I sent an e-mail to there office address sales@Jeepsterman asking if they are affiliated with Car Parts Online and never got an answer from them.

The price of the decal kit is somewhat suspiciously low, but there is not a lot to it (material wise) and it is tempting at the price listed. Does anyone know if Car Parts Online is a scam?

The website seems shady to me. No phone number, no company history in the “about” section, etc. also, in the shopping dropdown menu, the only items for sale are parts for washing machines and garage doors. But if you type “Jeep” into the search function, they have basically listed the entire jeepsterman catalog for 1/5 the price… including a dauntless v6 for $100 and free shipping. The link mentions that “the price does not include freight shipping.” But that’s just because they cut and paste from jeepsterman’s website. If you add the engine to your cart, it’s $100 with free shipping.

Yeah, the prices seem to good to be true. And as you mentioned there is not enough background info on them.
In my e-mail to the Jeepsterman I stated that if they had no affiliation with this suspicious website that I would put the word out here and another Jeep forum that the Parts Supply Online business was sketchy and likely a scam.
I wish that the Jepsterman would have responded to my e-mail :(
My gut feeling was that it is a scam but my wishful thinking was that maybe, just maybe is was legit. I will follow Mark Twains advice and double my money by folding it in half and putting it right back in my pocket.

Here is another instance of those decals/graphics -
"vinyl applique"

https://www.phoenixgraphix.com/amc/1971jsc1.php

A considerable premium over the site in question, but less than Jeepsterman.

Possible that Jeepsterman is buying this vinyl from Phoenix and marking it up.
Unlikely they would reply if that were the case.
You could ask Phoenix re both questions.

Somehow I recall Phoenix Graphics was the source for Renegade graphics - should find references on this site and the other Jeep sites.

This has a month old domain name. It traces back to a number used in scams since 2020.
On the other hand...you can order a DUI distributor for $89.55. Stay away.
