Well, here goes:
Friend texted me last week, they know someone that has a 68 cj5 for sale. I wasn't really interested, didn't respond with anything but how much, and what engine is in it?
She came back with 1000.00 bucks, its an oddfire Buick. Hmmm....I'm interested now. Forgot about it for a few weeks, then last weekend I was in the area, called the seller and that brought me to this post.

What I know:
1968, dauntless v6 and 2 broken t86 trannys, not installed.
Dana 27 front and tapered dana 44 rear.
Power Saginaw steering.
Newer looking wire harness.
Oem Jeep hard top and doors in great shape.
Currently sitting on 35s.
Came with 4 other rims/tires, 2 fenders for an intermediate that I already sold for a hundred bucks, and a bunch of other stuff.

Details to follow.

Plan is next weekend getting a t14, put a Dana 18 on the back, get it running and driving, plan from there.

I’ve been watching the other thread, good stuff!
I have some halfway decent T14 synchros and bearings and shaft that may be okay. Yours if you want them.
Looking forward to this thread!

Due to my incredible lack of patience, this was my route I took. I really do appreciate the T90 disassembly video.

Wiring up the new mini starter, then cross my fingers, hope it fires right up

New mini starter is in. Gonna check the oil, pour gas down the carb and turn the key

Is it possible the little posts are backwards on the new starter? I hooked up the battery earlier and the wipers turned on, must have been on? I can't get them to turn back on now.
And now that my battery is hooked up, I get nothing

Before I hooked up the new starter, I put a new battery in the engine bay and just touched the terminals to the posts and the wipers turned on. I went in the cab turned the key off, then to off, installed new wires, one at a time, figured i cant mess it up that way.
After starter was installed, I went in the cab and turned the key, nothing. Can't turn wipers on either.

Battery is at 26.2 volts sitting there

Hooked up the old starter and now I can turn the wipers on and off but it won't turn over. Is there a clutch safety switch I'm missing?

Nevermind, I can do all that with the new starter in or no starter in.

Is there a full service manual for a dauntless jeep?
Can I get any clutch for my jeep with a non factory transmission?
