Putting rear disc brakes on the Jeep. The calipers have parking brakes on them. There was a thread were the handle was put between the seats. Anyone know what handle/leveler they used? I searched and can no find it.
Those Orscheln brake levers (your forklift lever) were used on Willys Wagons from the factory from about '60-'64, so they are original to some Jeeps. This operated the rear 11" drum brake parking brake cables.I used a forklift E brake lever and mounted it in between the seats. Is this what you were thinking of? Norcal69's Common Sense Build.

Its just a pully bolted to the floor. I would of liked to of had the cable mounted more forward to get leverage. I couldn't figure out how to do it because of the ratchet locking mechanism was in the way.Scott, I liked your adaptation, and have wondered if it would be equally possible to mount the works under the floor?
That looks like a Orscheln hand brake . I am going to get one for my 1971 cj5. How is the cable attach to the brake handle?I used a forklift E brake lever and mounted it in between the seats. Is this what you were thinking of? Norcal69's Common Sense Build.
