New CV boot came in yesterday. Started wrestling with it after working all day in 111 degree weather.
Got it mostly installed before I realized that it was the wrong boot…..

Activate frantic 4 pm phone call to Northridge 4x4. There are very few retailers that sell or inventory RCV products. It was too late to get a boot overnight shipped from the Nevada warehouse.
Awesome dude from Northridge 4x4 robbed a boot from a wagoneer D44 kit they had on the shelf, boxed it up and got it dropped off for overnight shipping.


In a week from right now we will be prepping for Taco Tuesday dinner at Rubicon Springs!

The correct RCV boot came in and everything went together smoothly.
1/2 of the battle with RCV axles is the boot; I left the new boot out in the sun on asphalt for a couple hours before installing it.
Warming the boot made installation much easier.
Both tie rod ends were replaced.
The bikini top needs to be installed and we will be ready to Rubicon.
