I was looking at Ziv Sahirs Israeli military jeep on the home page. His top looks like it used original CJ5 bows and soft top style ( I would lkke to know the source).
But the 66 brochure for the Tuxedo Park pictures show a top that is more modern with the split/hinged bow system like those being sold by Bestop.

My 66 (not a tuxedo) has pockets for two bow assemblies like the old school CJ tops.

So, in '66 what type of full top was supplied for the standard Jeep? Old double bow or the single tux style bow.

Are there sources of the old style tops in the States other than Beachwood (who quoted $2k+)?

You could send Ziv a PM and ask what the manufacturer is.
