Well i got it torn down today. Well the spare at least. The bad motor is still in the truck, I am getting this one built up, then yanking the other out and swapping accessories over and reinstall it. This block was a freebie that came with the truck. It was said to be in goodshape, the head was needing a rebuild. The block did turn out to be in rather good shap. Spun freely, no scoring or overheating discoloration. So now the hard part is waiting for the tax return to get here to proceed to take the block to the machine shop and get it all done and order the parts to rebuild it. I am trying to repalce as much as i can to make it a new motor.

It is the 22RE. I dont have the $$$ for a V6 swap into this truck and i want to keep it all yota. If i had a fast rig i would be in jail for speeding tickets. ;) And boy i like the fuel inejction :)

Toyota is made in Japan and USA. Some taco bed's were made in Mexico.
Along with my L Head, I would trust most any yota engine assuming it was maintained.

    Looking good, Dan

What happened with the old motor and what are you doing with a yota?R)

I shouldn't be one to speak though, I've got 250K on mine and it still runs like a champ.
