YJ 4cyl slave cylinder disconnect

Getting everything taken apart to drop the tranny. i am at the internal slave cylinder. I see the metal line connects to the metal end of the palstic line. The metal end on the palstic line feels like it has flats so you can put a wrench on it to turn the nut that connects the slave to the line. Is this correct/ I hear about plastic being a quick disconnect but i do not see how it is done if it is. This is for a 4 cylinder in a 1991.
