What kind of wiper blades fit a 60's era CJ5 wiper arm? I ordered blades that Amazon said would fit, but I can't figure out how to connect the arm to the new blade. In this pict, from L to R, new wiper, old wiper, wiper arm.

    What *should* have I purchased?

The ones you bought look like they fit a modern car with the hook end on the wiper arm.

You might have gotten the length right, but the frame style is wrong. You might be able to remove the rubber blade and use it as a "refill" on your original frame. Check the width before you try, it may be wider. Your original tabs can be bent out in some cases to allow wider refills to work.
My old Jeep wipers take yet another style attachment to the arm, and both yours and mine are obsolete.

60s? Year/model/equipment? A flat black arm like that is a replacement, not original. I believe the original arms should have a bayonet end, like this. More Information for DORMAN 42883 They would have been matte silver or dull plating, similar to pictured.

Pretty sure the plastic hinged part at the center of the Anco blade will fit on the bayonet end. Won't look very original, but it will work.

You can get blades that will fit either the original bayonet type that I pictured, or the pivoting arms you have now, or both: 1975 JEEP CJ5 5.0L 304cid V8 Wiper Blade | RockAuto

Check the Trico 116 and the Anco 2011.

The original arms were bayonet type, as I recall. The arm I show a picture of above is a bayonet type (text since corrected). The OP's original arm will not accept a bayonet blade. I believe the Anco blade the OP shows will accept a bayonet type, with the right adapter. The blades often come with extra plastic parts to make them compatible with lots of different type blades.

I believe the Anco 2011 More Information for ANCO 2011 will work with the OP's existing arm, if he wants to keep the non-stock arms he has now.
