Is there any way to polish a windshield so that my wipers don't streak? I have brand new wiper blades that make good contact, but they still don't clear worth a darn. :?

Rain X doesn't do crap. I can run my fingers over the glass and feel tiny tiny micro-pits. What can I do to help the wipers out?

I've had great success w/ RainX. Even when my wipers were old and useless. I bought new wipers and arms this winter and noticed a big difference. The springs hold the blade tight to the w/s now. Do you have new arms? Mine came from Krage and are obviousley cheaply made. Plastic spline socket but they work good for now. I'll just plan on new arms at every blade replacement.

Wipers are tight to the windshield.

I looked into this on the Rambler as it's w/s is somewhat hazy...and I guess if you can feel defects in the glass with your fingernail, it's past being able to polish.

As sheep as Jeep w/s are, I'd bet the overall better approach is to just have new glass put in.

The stuff is called Bon Amie. It's a glass cleaner that will take off anything on glass. Found it at my local Publix in the cleaner aisle for $2. It will also take out fine scratches on Al. Also wipe down your new wiper blades with vinegar then Rain-X both sides of the windshield.

When the winshield wipers leave streaks and it's hard too see out of the glass. Especially at nite. I have used Simple Green. It removes all the oil and grease off the glass for a clean wipe.
You're able too see even with bad blades.

I use the All Purpose Cleaner. You could give it a shot. It might work.
