Windshield, Lights, Etc.

72 fiberglass CJ5:

Replacing the windshield and gasket, into an original frame.

I would like to replace the 80's style tail lights to as close as I can get in repro's.

Where should I be looking to get the best options on these items?

If you are looking for the factory repro tail lights for a 72, I got mine from Rockauto, I found them the cheapest and I believe they are rugged ridge from what I remember. Aside from Rockauto, you can also get them from Morris 4x4, Quadratec, etc. I just found Rockauto to be the cheapest.

To me, this looks like the boat trailer light you can find at Pep Boys, WalMart, or any parts store. Aside from a red lens, it's nothing like the original lights on a 1972 Jeep. It'll make you legal, but selling it as a Jeep part is a deception. Typical of Omix stuff - many (most?) of their products either are nothing like the original parts, are very low quality, or both.

Thanks to all for answering. I have ordered the lights that Tim suggested along with the backup's. Now, I just need to know if anyone can give me the center mass measurements for both sets. Thanks again for the help. JPY
