Put me on the list if you find a source for the gasket. Mine has the gasket but it has shrunk over the years and doesn't seal any more. I looked for 5 years for one around here and paid $175 for it at a swap meet. As I was walking away with it a guy offered $300 cash:rofl: . Told him no way:D . Nickmil.

My M606A1 Military CJ5 has one like that, it was rusting at the bottom and I have repaired it to a fasion. Not all the Swiss Army jeeps had them, for photos go to MikeE query on Jeep ID, I have posted some liks on the last page.

Good news y'all!!! Just got a call from Pete DeBella, and he has the gaskets for these venting windshields!!! He wants $50 plus $10 for shipping. This is the flat rubber seal that goes around the inner glass frame to seal it against the outer steel frame.

He also says he has a few of these venting windshields in N.O.S. condition, but you have to call for a quote.

Give him a call rather than email, but don't buy 'em all, I'll be ****ed if I don't get one!

My gasket from Debella arrived today, not too bad for NOS, still nice & rubbery.

I'm surprised it's all one piece, I assumed that as the inner WS frame is two pieces the gasket would be to.

You can kinda see the profile in the second pic, its different from the gasket that was on Maggie (which I did have scanned cross section of but can't lay my fingers on at the moment :( )

I am glad to read all of this because one of the older CJ5's that I am looking at has this kind of windshield frame on it. There old Jeeps around here and for some reason I feel it is my responsibility to buy them all. So I guess I need to go ahead and get this one before someone else spots it in the barn that it is in. However, I just found a couple of flatties that I think I can get pretty cheap and I want to try to get those first. God, I need to sell something so I can get them all.
