Has anyone done business with this company? I want to buy my body parts from them as they can use the willys name. They can get or have any part I need for 3a. There also located close to me over in Toledo. I talked with them on the phone, they seem really nice and knowledable, they seem like very good people to deal with. They say thier body tub is so exact that it can be bolted on in one hour. You can also get the inner tub and botton coated with line X and bottoms of front fenders. I can be there in 1 hour and pick up the body in my p/u truck to save shipping. The complete body is like 3,.200$, the willys script and line-X is extra. I can get the complete body with willys script and all the parts line-Xed for about 4 grand. The only thing good on my body is the windsheild frame and hood, so might as well just get the complete body kit and be done with it. My frame is excellent, not even scale on it. PO but fiberglass front fenders and grill on it, but I want steel. If anyones interested, I have thier phone number, they also advertise in Jp magazine.

I would not do business with them again. There are several others here that had a similar experience.

If you do decide to do it I would skip on the line x.

I wouldnt do the line x. Since you live so close you could go check everything out before you go and buy. Take some measurements off your jeep to make sure there tub will fit. It is the same kit everyone else sells, they just pre drill the holes. Most places can now get the willys script parts as well.

One of the dudes here in Florida got one for his CJ6. He didn't feel it was worth the money. Holes in the wrong places, damage from the factory (dents), etc. When he was done he had a real nice Jeep.

And all the steel tubs come from the same factory. Might be minor differences but not much.

Willys-Overland Tubs are a direct fit you don't have to drill or modify the tubs because they do it for you. I would go and watch them do a body before Commiting to buy I heard its pretty cool watching them.

I havent bought a tub from them but I have purchased several parts and have received excellent friendly service. They are very knowledgeble and carry a very good inventory.
When I did my 2A rebuild/conversion I bought parts from several suppliers and have had no issues with any of them. My experience has been good but others may differ.

Personally, I think I would go with an Aqualu aluminum body. It's lighter than either the steel or fibreglass bodies are.

I'd check into what it takes/costs to get something like a Jeep body through customs, it might not be worth the effort. I stopped shipping stuff I've sold on eBay to Canada addresses, just because of this.

    Cool idea though!

I should skip the line-X, I'm not going to drive in the winter or anything, it's a resto. A good paint job will seal it for good weather use.

If your windshield frame is original, I don't think it will fit properly on the repro body which seem to be 1/2 an inch narrower

I bought a repo tub years ago for my CJ3A, and I had to make a plate out of quarter inch aluminum to take up that difference. Yes, my orginal windshield was a half inch wider.

Also, if you look at my picture of my blue CJ, you can see that the pasenger side fender (repo) does not match the drivers side (orgin.), and for the life of me I can not figure out where the difference is. But, when you look at my jeep head on like in the picture you can see that the passenger side looks highter.

The cool thing is that they garuntee that thier bodies will fit and all the holes are in the right place. They said if I brought them the rolling chassie, they could have the new body installed in an hour, for a small fee of course. I'll do it myself, thats part of the fun. I'm just going to ket the whole kit, then I

Check out our site http://www.farmjeep.com/. Our 3a body is from Willys-Overland. Having gone through the body on/off for fit, then back on after painting, I would most certain want them to do it. We had to do some minor body work. You can still take it off for painting if you want.

Yeah, and there isn't anyone else around here to get a body from. I may just let them install it as I take in the toledo zoo or something.

US Customs duties are 2.5% of what the vehicle/parts cost, excluding shipping charge. Of course that's for importation into the US, I can't comment on Canadian Customs.
