I've never found a satisfactory answer as to whether my assembled in Canada 1966 is a Willys or Kaiser universal ECJ. My title sez Willys but the firewall plates sez Kaiser Jeep Canada. My understanding is that Kaiser had purchased Willys a few years earlier. Can anyone help clear this up??

    Thanx as always

Yours should be Kaiser. I believe Kaiser owned Willys Motors early '50s actually, then changed the name to Kaiser after '63. I think '64s say both Willys and Kaiser on the tag. At least that's my understanding of things. ;)

I know my jeep is actually a kaiser made vehicle, but in my heart and on the serial tag it says Willys. So i am going with that :)

Good idea, now when anyone asks me what my car is, I'll say it's a Mercedes. Sounds better than Neon. :)

You know in The Big one where the Willys started that, Chrysler made most of the American tanks :flag: and, Daimler made the Tigers and the Panzers. Who'd think that 50 years later.....?

My serial number plate says Kaiser, but the Paint color plate say Willys.

If you look up the serial number of my jeep it was built in December of 1963. So mine was most likely sold as a 64.
