Not sure if I'm posting in the right place, but I've got a question about headers. I had planned on ordering the Novak block hugger headers for a 4.3 but I talked to them this morning and they said they won't work and they're working on a new design. The AA headers require that you cut the fenders and they are outside the frame (where they can get banged on the rocks). Anyone got any other ideas or have most people used the stock exhaust manifolds?

    Thanks everyone!

I just spoke with Russell Anderson of Vintage Jeep Parts and he believes that the outside the frame headers from AA are probably my only option.

These are the AA Headers for 231/225s with Super Traps. Some fender tweakage required, but not to tough if you think it through.

I actually did the prototype for the 4.3 AA headers in a flatfender. They sit very high and tight to the body and Inever had any problems with the rocks. The passenger fender only requires some minor hammer work. The drivers side will require some cutting. They work very well.

Might look for a Street Rodder magazine. There used to be a company called Headers by Ed. It was a kit with the flange and all sorts of tube and bends what have ya. You made them up and welded them from the parts.

Headers should be in next Tuesday and God willing, maybe I'll get a few of these parts fastened to the frame! I need some parts to come in because since I don't have anything to do on the Willys I've resorted to working in the yard.
