Does anyone know if an F-head exhaust manifold will physically bolt up to an L-head block?

I just found out that I might have a line on an aftermarket aluminum head for a Willys L-4, and that got the ol' gears turning to dream up some other kinds of performance mods. Namely, I think I have figgered out a way to build a 2 x 1 BBL intake. I DON'T want to go to a tube header, no way. Also looking to try an MSD ignition and a hotter coil. All it take sis cubic dollars...

I am intrigued by the thought of all you said Steve, fuel inject the monster with a megasquirt system. Aluminum head, that would be cool.

I'm in the process of waiting for a junk K Car to turn up, so I can rob the TBI and computer and try to make it work on my F head. We'll see what happens, as K cars are going to the crusher at a pretty steady rate.

I'm going to be building an aluminum manifold to mount a Holley Weber 5200 32/36 progressive two barrel. I'm also going to fab up tubular headers to go with it. I finally figured out how to make a mounting flange that the headers and intake manifold will share the steel flange for the headers will mount to the block then the intake manifold will mount to it. That way I can have more bolts holding the intake in place and get a better seal even though it will have two gaskets.

Holley offers real nice prebent 1.375" tubing with a nice tight first bend after that the headers will be easy.

The intake will basically be an aluminum box with a side cover in the center section and then two aluminum pipe elbows turning to the ports pretty simple.
