Why am I cutting out?

    MIne does the same thing and I have not figured it out yet. When I posted a few months ago, James P. said to check the bronze fuel filter at the inlet to the carb. Might be worth a shot.

    I agree with the bronze filter, also the weak fuel pump idea too! I have a 67 chevy with the 283 that done this, 2 fuel pumps later it runs like a clock. :?

    Don't think there is a bronze filter on it. I don't remember one when we rebuilt it. :?

    I could have a faulty memory though.

    There was, but I don't want to fault your memory ;). I think I will put the original distributor w/ vacuum advance back in to rule out ignition/timing issues. Then I will proceed to another carb rebuild if needed. Then another new fuel pump.
