I'm wanting to find out the name of the shade of white used on CJ5 wheels in the mid-50's. Wasn't a pure white, had a slightly "cream" tint to it. Anybody know what the name is?

I've heard/read it before, but can't remember. I swear this time I'll write it down. Honest!

"Valspar Ivory", I gotta remember that. I remembered that photo from Stout of that wheel of his, that's just beautiful! But I couldn't find the thread or name of the paint, and I wasn't sure it was his photo. I'm just gonna save that photo in my Wheels folder and rename it Valspar Ivory. I'm gonna have five just like that, or die trying.

Closest thing I've found in a rattle can is Rustoleum's epoxy appliance paint, I think the shade is called "Biscuit".

So, what's the concensus about powder coating steel wheels? I've heard yeah and nay.
