Went on a trail ride with my M38A1, wet and muddy, had stock military tires on but I think I'll need something better. where's a good source to buy rims -10x15-
    I think should do it.

I'd look at tires and match the wheels to those, not the other way around.....
NDT's look cool and work in deep stuff but that's about it

My experience with NDT's (7.50-20's) is that they work very well on dry, flat terraine. Just forget them for anything else.
The above posts are good advise. A good place to start looking for wheels is Summit but definately check local, or better, the classifieds here. If you go wider than 10.5's, you will need to pay attention to the backspacing, and even with 10.5's, I would be looking at something with about 3.5" or less backspace. Like Nick said, you need to decide which tires first.

You don't say if you've got a lift, but if you're at or close to stock height, a 30-31" tire with a 15x8 wheel works well.

My experience is that the 15x10 rims were too much. At least with 35's, which also were too much. Here are too pics, first with 35 12.5 on 15x10 Eatons with minimum backspace of 3.5". They rubbed on the leaf springs, inside of front fenders, and rear of the tub. Second is 15x8 with 3.75 and 33 10.5. The 33's do EVERYTHING better, and don't rub. I have 3" black diamond lift.

edit: My wheels came from National Tire & Wheel. I paid extra for the 10's to get minimum backspace build. I'm off-road only at this point and wish I had paid the $ for the bead locks.

That should be a good combination. The 33's on mine are almost too tall for the stupid 2.96 first gear of the T90 when in high range. I run them with 10# of air and the A1 rides like a Cadillac compared to th 6.0 16's on my MB which are also run at 10#. My kingdom for a 4 speed.

In that second pic those are the same rims and tires I just got lol. How have you been balancing them with wheel weights or internally?

I didn't bother. I run them off-road only and never get above 35 mph if that.
