Front axle too far back makes it look like it's gonna fall on it's nose.. Cute rig though.
A friend of mine had a Willys Wagon on a Blazer chassis. The axles were just way too wide. On his, they split some of the wheelbase difference with the rear, but it was still out of proportion.
I find myself strangely liking the glass doorknob shifter
If that front axle was forward about 6 inches, it would look really nice for the most part.
I'm beginning to think people do that just to spite those of us that think (know) it looks horrible that way.
Why is it so hard for people to get that right?
I'm guessing to do it differently would require lengthening the Blazer frame. To do it really right the front axle should be narrowed as well.
I think that the builder was hoping to keep the underside of the fenders clean.
I like iit!
For $25K you would think they could get it right... spend that kind of money and worry about keeping the drive train stock is just plain nutz.
