Ok fellers. It's waffle time. Again.

At Tellico last year I was afraid of stuffing the 31x10.50 ATs that I had on Old Yeller up into the fender lips because they hung out so far on the aftermarket 15x8 "wagon wheels" that I had previously. So I searched and searched and finally found a set of "stock" OEM rims from a late CJ that would work with the front disc brake conversion, and I swapped the tires over. So they didn't eat the outer fenders, they ate the inners.

Fast forward one year. I ditched the 31x10.50 ATs in favor of a set of 31x9.50 Swampers on 15x6 "wagon wheels". They clear EVERYTHING now. The question now is purely cosmetic.

Given the choice, would you prefer "Old Yeller" with white OEM rims and OEM "Jeep" baby moon hubcaps with the swampers, or to just leave it the way it is in the picture above?

Sparky, can you help me in adding a poll to this post?

The current look is great, inspirational actually. Even though I'm still looking at a primed frame and axles in pieces, I am thinking about the final paint color. Wanted to stick to original blue, but the girls in my house think otherwise (imagine that). If I may ask, what color is that yellow? It looks really sharp.

I'd have to see it with the hubcaps - I thought it looked better with the OE wheels at Tellico...but not sure if the hubcaps would add or detract. I had bought up some to use on Dutch - but they really didn't look all that great. The red/black/white color scheme is so strong that the added chrome was just too much. You might be in the same boat with the yellow.

I'm just not a fan of wagon wheels. Less so in black..;)

That original blue color for the 2A is the best color that they offered. I still have fenders from an original parted 2A and it has spots of that blue that I cleaned up. Was refering to Coho Willy.
    Rims should be white

Uh, his yellow paint job has hardly cured on the Jeep yet - it's all about wheel choice now.

    :D Never saw one.

I would keep a set of each, NDTs AND the ones on it now. Just change them to your mood swings.

I vote as is. I agree with Boyink, it might be a little much with the yellow and hub caps. Looked great at Tellico IMHO
