    Hi
what's the best steering column to get if you have the Saginaw power steering box? the Jeep came with the steering box installed, but no shaft, no column and no wiring harness....so it's all open to be done any way possible....maybe a Painless Wiring harness, Borgeson column and custom shaft.....any ideas or suggestions?
    thanks in advance.

I like the bus wheel - get a column from a postal Jeep.

EZ Wire - Painless is too much $$$ for the same thing. Used several - love them for the $.

Add another vote to the "I like the look of the original, school bus style steering wheel". Find a column from an early 70's postal DJ.

I like my XJ too, then I used a YJ steering shaft to make it all the way to the box. It's adjustable from about 36" to about 21"...but I used an XJ steering box so it all fell together.

get ahold of AAA motors, the guys name might be Nelson. He specializes in DJ parts, and has a great stock of columns. You get to keep the big wheel, and have a shaft that bolts on. He can send them out with any kind of fitting at the end that you need. I think I used a stub shaft from AA, and a standard DD universal. Ran the shaft through the motor mount, and didnt have to mod the front crossmember too much. Took a lot of time to align, but has worked flawlessly, even with a header coming off the Powerhouse Flathead
