I think you will still have to raise the tank off of the floor. As I said, I just made a plate to go over the larger hole and had to raise the tank. I believe the entire assembly where the tank comes out is higher.

I will have to see. It looks like the filler cutout is mounted higher in the body. If that is the case as you suggest I will weld up the hole and cut out a new one to mount the filler in the right location to use the 2a/3a gas tank. I have a few body mods in mind already anyway. I will need to rework the floor panel over the tranny to clear my sm465, I am thinking of notching the wheel well to give more seat room and I believe I will have to do a few mods to attach my roll cage into the frame through the body. I am looking forward to working on a clean rust free body. The one I have is a mess. I just was not too excited to strip, cut, grind, fabricate and weld that body into something that I would be happy with. I have been there and done that before. My current shop space does not support it either. Hope to have the body in another week. :)

I went out and measured and it looks like about 1 1/2 inches higher.

Thanks. Now I know what to expect. I don't expect it to be too difficult to modify it as needed to be like the 2A/3A. I am hoping to pick the body up Monday or Tuesday.

Extra fuel is good but I can't justify the nearly $300 difference for 2 extra gallons. I still have the 15 gallon tank in the back inside frame position. This is already an extra 10 gallons. It's all going to work fine.
