I am looking at the instrument cluster that came with the dash for my '67 CJ6. It has speed indicated 10 - 90, has blinker indicator lights, a Hi Beam light and a Brake light. No Amp or Oil light.

What should an original look like?

I know my 66 looks different then that. However, i'm curious if the brake light is a sensor for master cylinder for low fluid, or is it for the emergency brake.

That isn't an early CJ cluster.

I would think that it should look the same as a cj5 unit from that year. The typical 0-9http://www.google.com/imgres?q=jeep+speedometer&hl=en&client=safari&sa=X&tbo=d&rls=en&biw=1280&bih=627&tbm=isch&tbnid=-dD6aBnHA_EYjM:&imgrefurl=http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/4x4-vehicles/41093-jeep-last-now-what-6.html&docid=VXW8tGbJI5etnM&imgurl=http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attachments/4x4-vehicles/31194-jeep-last-now-what-speedometer.gif&w=350&h=350&ei=NI68ULrWNo3D0AGK7oHoCg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=826&vpy=251&dur=788&hovh=225&hovw=225&tx=113&ty=141&sig=114965924704031929497&page=1&tbnh=139&tbnw=141&start=0&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:0,i:116

Don't know where the sensor for the brake light would be located. Nothing on the MC or the E-Brake that I can find. I assume there must have been one someplace. Don't know.

I am sure it would have been the same in a CJ5. The link looks like the NOS's for sale. Just wondering when the switch from 1-9 to 10-90 happened and would the 67's have the turn signal lights in the instrument cluster?

I believe the number switch happened in '72 or there about. Topic has been covered here several times. A search may turn up more definite answers. The '67 would not have the turn indicators in the gauge cluster.

Spent a couple of hours searching but couldn't put the right combo of terms together. I was sure this had to have been discussed.

Thanks I think I know what to look for now.

I will have to call Debella and see what the damage will be. Also some on eBay from Vietnam for $140 + 20 shipping.

    Thanks.
