I am slowly making a build list for my 5, and see again and again parts starting at m/y- 76

Things like flat front bumper. not avail for m/y-75, but good to go on m/y-76

What is different at the year change?

Minor changes for things like body panels or the like I get, but a bumper?

LOTS of changes between 75 & 76...practically a whole new vehicle with the same appearance. Engines & the D30 front axle were carried over, but different trans, rear axle, frame, suspension, interior, etc.
A bumper, I'm not sure.....might have to drill some holes to mount it.

Doug is right, what didn't change is the short list: front axle, front clip, engines.

If you are in doubt about specific parts, ask. Aftermarket listings are often wrong. A bumper for '76 is different, and a bumper for an intermediate is the same as an early Jeep. You want PN 906781 Front Bumper CJ5, CJ6 1955-71

The Jeep factory parts book will help with searching. Available as CD-ROM from RockAuto.

BTW you're also in the wrong forum for a '75 Jeep. You want the intermediate forum.
